# Business Intelligence Service (BIS)

The Business Intelligence Service (BIS) provides a REST based wrapper around the [SanteDB BI Services infrastructure](/developers/applets/business-intelligence-bi-assets.md). This interface allows your applications to interact with the underlying BI query infrastructure.
