# Assets

In a SanteDB applet, an "asset" is used to describe a file (or virtual files) which can be rendered by the SanteDB dCDR user interface service. These assets can be JavaScript files, business rules files, etc. 

There are several types of assets which require special formatting, and provide additional header data. These assets are covered in this section.
